The Russian Blue's dense double coat stands out from the body, and each hair is tipped in silver, giving the whole cat a soft, shimmering look. It is short and plush rather than long and fluffy, and it is remarkably easy to maintain.
Russian Blues are famously wary of strangers and new situations at first. Give them time and consistency and that reserve turns into quiet, steady devotion, they bond hard to their people and often pick a favorite person in the house.
Kittens are usually born with yellow eyes that shift toward the breed's signature vivid green by adulthood. Set in a fine-boned, elegant face, those eyes are one of the most striking features in the cat world.
Allergic to cats?
